What algae will grow under t8 lighting?

I am setting up a mantis shrimp tank and I want to include some macro algaes. My question is which species will grow under t8 lighting. The good comes with just a regular t8 bulb but I think I can upgrade it
To a stronger t8 bulb, or atleast that's what the website said. and as I have zero knowledge about plants, I figured it would just be easier for me to ask and get a starting point then try to go through all of the info by myself and still get it wrong :/ thanks!

Someone more knowledgeable than I will chime in and answer your question, but I guess why don't you go to home depot or lowes and buy a two bulb t5 strip for 15 dollars and put some quality bulbs in it? That really isn't that expensive.... Or check out the finnex ray2 series of leds. Rated for 3 t5 bulbs and are really quite cheap. An 18in strip is 60$, 48$ 160$, sizes inbetween.

The high lighting can cause shell rot in the shrimp, so I don't want to get any strong lighting. T8 makes a stronger plant bulb but I wouldn't want to go higher than that, because of the possible health issues for the mantis

Hmm, I guess I don't know much in the way of mantis care, didn't know they were that sensitive. I'm new to macros so can't help much then, sorry >_<

For some reason I can't see what you wrote? I saw the first part of it on the other screen, but there are a few species that are deeper water species and aren't used to strong light and in captivity can develop she'll rot from it and have issues molting :/.
