Hi -

Tunze 6055 Pumps (Previous Model) and FREE Tunze 7092 Controller Kit

What am I giving up by taking adantage of the older model price point?

Nothing, the 6055's should be $185 either way, with or without the 7090. The 7090 has no more features than the 7092, if you network 2 6055's with the built in 7090's the features are identical to 2 6055's with the 7092 and to network two with the 7090's you do need an additional cable 7092.300.
