DOES ANYOME KNOW WHAT THIS IS?

I didn't realize how giant that photo is. I will resize it and get it back up.

Not an acan, at least not like any I have.

blurry pic, looks like a favia to me. Does it extend out super long tentacle-like things at night? (I freaked out the first I saw mine do that.)

I thought a favites at first, but after resizing it I'm really now sure what it is...It could be a favites or some sort with an odd growth formation due to what ever it was incrusting....but deff not an acane...

I still plan to post a better pic but I have it next to my war coral and they look an awful lot alike.

That kind of what I thought it looked like when I resized the pic, or at least very simmilar..

Here ya go. Yeah I was thinking it was a favites. I'm not sure if it is a pentagona. The septa seem a little large compared to the war coral. Very close though. It might be another color morph.

Maybe. Maybe not. It is very close. Just the septa throw me off. Come on Gresh. Take out the Indo-Pacific book. What do you think it is?

I think for the most part the question has been answered. Maybe, maybe not. As far as "cooler" that is subjective. Some people think green star polyps are cooler than the pink lemonade acro. Look at the pictures. Do you think it is cooler? In my opinion I like the war coral more. It has a very unusual color form. It has red, green, and turquoise. I do like the one that is posted though. I think it is a very nice color for a Favites. The owner might think it is cooler than the war coral.

I forgot to clarify that it is not the AE War Coral. The question is if it is a Favites pentagona. Just because a coral is a Favites pentagona doesn't mean it is a War Coral.
