What am I?

I have about 2 dozen of these little critters on the glass, some during the day, most at night. They started off really small but seem to be growing, the largest is about 3/4" across. Most have 7 appendages, some have 8. 2 or 3 of the appendages are larger than the rest. They look like small starfish, but I don't know how to ID them. What am I?

They look like asterina starfish.

Asterina I would get rid of them if you keep sps.

Yeah, i notice two distinct kinds in my tanks. One is small and mostly light tan colored. Those appear to not bother anything and just eat film. Then there are the slightly larger ones that are more mottled blues and greens. Those little suckers wiped out my zoos before i even knew what hit them!

I have the tan ones that stick to munching on the glass, but I'm still eliminating them as I find them.
