Whats the best anmeone to get pcellaris clowns to host in? and if its a carpet anemone? I have herd of them eating fish? are they that agressive?

The following are from the anemone faq listed on this forum.
Heteractis magnifica (magnificent, ritteri, or skunk)
Stichodactyla gigantea (gigantic or carpet)
Stichodactyla mertensii (merten's, or spotted-base carpet)

The next list is from http://www.fishlore.com/Profiles-ClownFish.htm
Bubble Tip Anemone (Rose Anemone) (Entacmaea quadricolor)
Magnificent Anemone (Ritteri Sea Anemone) (Heteractis magnifica)
Giant Carpet Anemone (Stichodactyla gigantea)
Saddle Carpet Anemone (Haddon's Sea Anemone) (Stichodactyla haddoni

Anemones by their nature are aggressive, and they will eat fish if the right conditions occur such as the fish runs into them, gets stuck and killed, and is small enough to be eaten.

If you're unfamiliar with carpets, I would definitely recommend staying away from them.

Personally, I would go with a bubble tip anemone. It has been said that ocellaris will not host them, but I believe many people have had success. Bubble tip anemone's are relatively easy to keep compared to other anemone's, too.

Keep in mind, though, anemones are not easy to keep. The require good water parameters and relatively stong lighting.

Good luck!

I was trying to get a nem that stays on the substrate because i want to have a nice reef....

If you post your tank specs size, water parameters ( salinity, nitrates, ammonia etc) and lighting people would have a better understanding of your setup and could tell you if you could have a carpet. If you Google what ever anemone you want there is a wealth of information out there per type like Haddon's Sea Anemone Care or Stichodactyla haddoni Care.

Tank isn't set up yet. It will be like 6 months to a yer till I actually get an anemone. Uhhhhh 165 gallon aquarium should be 3 250 watt mh and that's all I've got so far
