What are my clownfish

You can probably see them because you are logged into your account. To properly share an image from Photobucket, click an image in your library. On the right side, you'll see "Share This Photo" options. I usually use the IMG one at the bottom since it's designed to work with message boards.

Are there irregular or uncommon ocellaris?

Just ranting. :D

While there are certainly more exotic fish, they make great tank pets, colorful and interesting to watch. Plus they can be captive bred and I am all for anything that can reduce the pressure on the world's reefs.

Very nice pair you have there. Watch the colors get deeper as they mature, and how one will become female and grow twice the size of the other.

Ha. Well as far as the "common" part, common clownfish is the common name.

Pyither, I'm sure, meant regular as in not a different color morph.

Not meant to be derogatory in either case. Like you said, they are excellent reef fish.

Fancy white occ d grade.

Also known as "just barely" fancy whites.

These are not "normal clownfish" there is no such thing, especially when you consider there about 2000 varieties.

Shows how much I know about captive bred clowns. I would've bet money these were the same occelaris clowns I've seen in stores a thousand times.

It's all just nomenclature. Amphiron ocelaris is a very very broad name.

It's almost like using the term primate to describe a spider monkey. Yes it's correct, but the details are in the patterns.

The OPs clowns show heavy bar patterns, not typical with run of the mill $15 ocelaris. The variations are subtle yes, but enough to charge $40 vs $15.

Either way, gorgeous fish, and a staple in the marine hobby.
