What are some of the most storied corals?

Anyone chime in!

An example would be the green Palau Nepthea. It used to be so tough to get because Palau doesn't allow collection and that was seemingly the only place to collect it.

Or the ORA Phil's Granulosa. I remember about 3 years aoo or so, here locally, a ton of people were paying top dollar because they thought that ORA lost its mother colony. I don't know if that's true but is sure caused a mini reefer uproar.

+OT!
I have a frag from the original colony and it almost glows in my tank, the blue is different, as soon as the people see my tank ask me about it, and really my tank it's full of a lot of colored SPS.

I think the Stuber's Acropora is definitely the most legendary in my book. Hard to believe in today's reefkeeping era, but back in 1985 and well into the early 1990's it was widely believed impossible to grow stony corals in captivity

The Stuber Acro was a huge part of changing that belief. It was a hitch hiker coral, that came on a piece of live rock into Dietrich Stuber's tank. Seeing growth shots of an Acropora in the late 80's in magazines and books was pretty awesome.

It's not a colorful coral, and widely forgotten by people seeking overpriced LE corals and colors. But Stuber's Acro is essentially the grandfather coral of the SPS hobby.
