What are these mounting brackets called or used for?

I'm trying to source these mounting brackets to use in order to hang the "skin" for my steel stand on. They were installed initially in tbone's new tank build by his cabinet maker, but he doesn't know what they're called. Or, if anyone knows what they might be used for that would help me source them as well.

Any thoughts or ideas please LMK.

TIA!

Is it like a a steel or aluminum ruler? If so, I think Home Depot carries them made out of steel. Usually they are bent at a 90 degree angle to hold up shelves but they also have straight unbent ones. Look in the hardware section.

looks like aluminum bar stock to me - HD/Lowes has it, angle iron (or angle aluminum) as well

It looks to me like the channel used to hang mirrors. When I was site supervisor for a custom home contractor I would use channel very similar to that to hang the mirrors in the master baths of houses. The channel runs the full length of the bottom of the mirror and clips are installed along the sides and top to keep the mirror from tilting forward and falling out of the bottom channel. You should be able to find the stuff at Home Depot or Lowes. But if they don't have any a local glass shop that custom makes mirrors should definitely have them.

Thanks for all the replies!

Greg, someone else told me thats what they're called, I'll have to check out those sites, thanks for the links!
