Hello, I was inspecting my tank as saw some really strange behavior from my nassarius snails. One snail is twisting the other one back and forth. This was happening for about 30-45 seconds. Are they mating? Fighting?
Did you feed the tank prior to seeing this? If so, my guess is that they were fighting over some scraps or perhaps some carrion of some sort. Mating is definitely a possibility too though.
I vote for fighting. I have watched them before, and if they are mating....they are doing it aggressively (and I think they need to be facing opposite directions to mate).
