My tank is over an year old. Mostly kept LPS and Ricordia Mushrooms till very recently. I am new to SPS hobby. Started keeping sps a month back with a couple of frags sourced from local reefers. I did some reading before starting the SPS thing and my water parameters are what I consider ok.
Ammonia: 0, Nitrite: 0, Nitrate: 0-5 ppm, Phosphate: 0.03 ppm, Calcium: 410, Alkalinity: 9-10 dKh, Mg: 1450. I try to keep up on water changes. And I use RO DI water.
I have been keeping this sps frag for one month. Since the last couple of days I see these white spots on the frag. Attaching a photo for you to see. These white spots are mostly on the tips of the small branches and appear like bruising. What is this thing? Are these bad?
Sorry for the bad quality photo. Taking photos of objects inside the tank is tougher than I thought it would be. Very difficult focus and get a good enough depth of field.
