Ok So my 10g tank has been up and doing good for 2 months now, but I have these anenome things that are showing up like crazy there were maybe 2-3 when I started the tank and put in the live rock now I have probably 20 or more, and I just noticed one on my turbo snail's shell too >.<.

Those are Aiptasia. Do a search her on RC. They are a pest anemone, and they can explode in a new system with higher nutrients.

There a are a myriad of solutions, but since your tank is so new, an you already have so many, it might behoove you to remove the LR- boil it- and start a new cycle.

That would be hard on my turbo snail tho wouldn't it possibly even kill it? I don't have anywhere to put him while I do that.

Yes, that would kill him. If he is your only invert I would just leave him in the tank. If you're worried about new cycling, then do one piece of rock at a time.

Yep get rid of those things before you get any coral or anything. They are huge pests and can take a tank over pretty fast.

Just buy some aptasia x and use as directed... shoot them with syringe
safe to use and you'll be doing it every month down the road anyway...

I could probably do that hes the only thing in my tank so i could probably get by with doing all but one piece of lr couldn't I and their really easy to siphon off the glass so I'm not as worried about them.

After you kill them all you could add a peppermint shrimp to eat any baby ones that might show up later if you add a new piece of LR. I had 3-4 little one and I add a could of the shrimp and they cleared them up, of course there's no guarantee they will.

I've heard of injecting them with a needle and vinagar is this safe in a 10gallon?
If so I think that will be the method I use along with a pepermint shrimp

I think even hot water works instead of vinegar, but the aiptasia-x really does well. Try just one bottle and get the peppermints in hopes they eat them. You will probably battle these things for a long time! Also, If you can get the nutrients low in your tank (good water quality and no overfeeding) then they might die off.

I bought a zoa rock at an lfs and one of these showed up a couple days after. Next day bought a peppermint, haven't seen one since.

Just use some Aiptasia-X it's easy and gets the job done. All you need is a small bottle. Do a search on the internet.

Well hotwater and a syringe is working quite well so ill have to stick with that till i can get a pepermint shrimp
