I have a scrolling montipora frag which has what looks like black and white striped tentacles coming out from within it. When I first got the frag it seemed to be just a couple but now I've looked tonight and they've definitely multiplied.
I'm almost certain it's not aiptasia, I've dealt with that enough times in the past to know what that looks like!
So does anyone have any idea what it could be? Picture is a little bit average because it was taken under moonlighting...

Yes.. that picture sucks. :p
But based on description we can assume that white/black stripped tentacles are simply the legs of micro brittle stars.. VERY common/beneficial/harmless..

Yeah the Samsung camera definitely struggles with the blues. I'll try and get a better shot during day lighting but they seem to be more prominent at night. Thanks for the reply though, glad to hear it's most likely harmless!

Excessive blue light does 2 things..
-Prevents proper color rendition.. (Colors are NOT real/accurate)
-Causes problems focusing with many types of cameras..

But it most certainly sounds like common micro bristle stars lets so all is good..
