The first is Protopalythoa. People use the name Palythoa a lot now but they don't use it describe the right corals. There is a bid difference.
The second is definately Hydroids. Usually they grow for a while and end up dying off if your tank is healthy. I don't know what causes that but I have seen it happen a lot. I have also heard of people rubbing a Euphylia on them regularly to kill them. The hydroids do sting so you don't want them to grow everywere.
