What are these

I just notice some black looking bubbles on some of my LR. Most are in small groups, a few singles here & there. They are about the size of a small pebble and are somewhat translucent. I cant figure out how to post pics.

Sounds like bubble algae. Does it look like this:

do they move?
If not could be sponges.

I have had a bout of bubble algae & this looks way different

Sounds a little like some tiny clams I have that live on my LR. Mine look more flat than bubble-like though. Have they been mutiplying quickly? What do they feel like?

Thats a form of bubble algae. Take the rock out and scrape that stuff off.
