How to kill these without stressing the surrounding corals?

They look like bubble tip anemone's to me.. and for killing them, just give them to a noob..
Seriously, your gonna have to be more specific as to what your talking about in the pic...

Yeah they look like bubble tip anemones to me too, each one is about a dime/nickle size and spreading quickly. I feed them some lemon juice and hoped they will die off but lemon juice was just enough to stress them for a few days and they are back healthy again. I'll try lemon juice injection this time but not sure if it can kill them. Last time lemon juice almost killed the near by coral... any better idea?

If they really are bubble tips, you can use a combination of high flow, and some ice near the foot to get them to give up their hold on the rock.. and probably trade them at the LFS..
If they aren't bubble tips, then I have no idea.

My signature won't show up right and I gave up trying to get it to work, but it should say.. "I'm new here too, take all advice with a bucket of salt'

Yep those are majanos! I've had success just melting them with a syringe and boiling water :) This didn't work when I tried it on aptasia though :(

Manjo's can come in various colors. I've had them purple with green tenticals. Pickling lime and lemon juice killed them off in an instant.

+1 onthe boiling water. That is how I got rid of one 2 years ago and have never seen a trace of one since.. lol. The ironic thing is that I bought the rock of zoas it was on because of the anemone, I thought it was a bubble tip. WRONG! Its a majano..

I am also interested in this. I have lots of these in my 90 gallon reef tank and need to get a handle on them. Anyone know what will eat these guys, am trying a kleins butterfly but not doing much to them. In the process of upgrading to a 300 DD and do not want these to make the trip...Aiptasia-x, Deletrix and joes juice did nothing but **** them off. Now they've about doubled ..Tagging along Thanks

You'll need a wide bore plastic syringe (available in most drug stores to give medications to small children I get them for free at CVS pharmacies) kalk powder, and patience.

Mix up a thick kalk paste and suck it up with the syringe. Hover the syringe over the mojano/aiptasia and shoot just a touch of kalk over the pest/s. Wait a few seconds and then use your hand (that's already in the tank) to create flow and disperse the kalk. Once the kalk settles on the aiptasia/mojano they're history.

Depending on the seriousness of the infestation it may take several treatments to clear your tank. On the plus side you're adding calcium and maintaining alkalinity at the same time ;).

pickling lime or vinger, if useing vinger stab them and shoot them full and if pickling lime just cover mouth i have used both ways and they worked for me
