If you believe that might be Ok for your tank, do a phospate and nitrate test on the rinsings. It might be OK for softies and some LPS, but it will only lead to problems with any other corals.
I don't rinse mine. I've been feeding the cloudy part for years. I believe that I would be throwing away good stuff. My gorgonians love the cloudy part as do my LPS.
I recently read something written by Eric Borneman that agreed with my practices. I was very pleased to hear from someone of his knowledge that what I was doing wasn't crazy.
Is there a name for that cocktail at the top of the page Mark?? I think that if you added ice, a lime wedge, and a little umbrella it would make it look more appetizing, but I will give it a trty either way!
