Main reason for using this system is its cost efficiency, I spend about 6 bucks a month.

With consistancy, monitoring, excellent water quality, strong lighting, great skimming, keeping my hands out of the reef, and some luck my reef is growing very well.

you need to first test to make sure you need to dose and only dose what you can test for . my dosing comes from weekly 20% waterchanges . in my case i have 400 gallons of water 45 fish and 30ish corals mostly lps and simple waterchanges get the job done just fine . if your growing sps its a different story IMO.

I have been dosing vitamin c,aquavitro FUEL and microvert. I have seen awesome results in my corals. I think it's mostly the vitamin C I started w/ 250mg and slowly increased it now I am up to 1000 mg a day on a 60 gallon system. The FUEL I dose every now and then just to throw it in maybe once or twice a week and the microvert the same . Phytoplex is also good to throw in I used to use that a lot and had good results.

P.S. If people want to try vit C dosing and you have health insurance just go to your Dr. and they can write you a scrip my insurance covers it which I though was awesome..I got 100 500 mg vc's for 50 cents LOL
