What are your PO4 levels ????

Never tested before but I don't have a single brown coral in my tank. I have to clean my glass every 3 days so I'm sure I have some PO4. Until I notice a problem, no point in me buying a colorimeter or another type of test. Going on 2 years.

do u have any pics of your tank ? I have mine @ .11 on a colormeter. And I clean my glass about once every 3 weeks

I have 0.00 (hanna) and have to clean my glass daily but I have Nitrates. :D My SPS are colorful, not light colors, deep rich colors.

my nitrates test at 0 w/ salifert but my PO4 just are killing me I have to pick up my sps on friday and am afraid i am gonna lose them to my PO4 level

lol yeah would love to ..........Are you using anything to keep your PO4 low like a phosban zeo ................

Not at the moment. In the past I have used Phosban but I am now trying to get a PO4 reading. So I tried over feeding and that has not worked but my fish are FAT. :D

I don't have any recent pictures. When I get some time, I'll post some more up. I've posted some on here before but it's been a couple months.

I've never heard of anyone not having to clean their glass for 3 weeks.

I've never been able to detect phosphates with my salifert kit. I added a phosban recator just the same. I clean my glass 1-2x per week. I have an Ark load of fish in my tank, mostly anthias.

I too have never heard of cleaning your glass once every three weeks. It's somewhat creepy :D

I cleaned it today with a WC also it was the first time in 3 weeks The glass is like crystal look in anyside and its like theres no water in the tank at all its insane When I cleaned it today there was a small small spot that was dirty and a lil dirty on the front 2 corners I have 10 fish in the tanak right now

I got < 0.03 (anything below seemed to be the same color including test on RO, fresh seawater and distill water) on Deltec test but I can't get consistent reading on my Hannah colorimeter.
The colors of my corals are as below: (picture taken 08 Nov 06)

I always read 0 with my salifert test...but I have brown corals...and macro algae...I'm adding a phosphate reactor very soon to see if it helps

On a side note about coral colors...it's not JUST phosphate that makes a difference. I was reading 0 on salifert. Added phosban. A tenuis tuned super bright, which I actually prefered it's slightly brown color, while both humilis frags remain brown.

I'm just saying, don't be dissappoointed if adding phosban or the like doesn't necessarily improve certain coral colors.

Pete this has nothing to do with PO4 and colors. I have a 0 on salifert but on my Hanna its .11. This is about losing my sps when I transfer them into my new system. Majority of test kits read the lowest .2 which is higher then mine is. I have no chioce but to pick up my SPS friday or they all die the guy has to move and break down his system and I have ALOT of expensive sps.

Sorry, my comment was for Justin/TiV, not you, Tanya :D Should've used the "quote" feature I guess...

Thats nice you don't have to clean it but 1 time in 3 weeks. That is just sick. I haven't ever used phosban or any of the products but was considering it just to prevent a problem from possibly happening. But so far, no issues yet.
