What attacked my Firefish!?

Just got a good look at my new firefish (had him for 4 days) and noticed there is a half-pea sized chunk missing from his side where he has been attacked. The only other fish in the tank is a small Swalesi Basslet, whose pretty docile and I havent seen any aggression between the two. What could have done this? Some type of shrimp or crab hitchhiker? Can a fish recover from this? I've never lost a fish, so I hate to loose this one.

it's possible it could have been the basslet. but if there is a lot of hiding places in the rock, there could possibly have been something else. how big is the hole in your firefish campared with the basslets mouth.
