What can I do on this "forum"

I noticed that my reply to a seller (where I suggested a more realistic price for an item to help him sell), was scrubbed out by "beerguy"

I was told this was not a discussion forum and bad etiquette. I was just trying to help but I'm not really griping about that.... it's just that I thought that this was a discussion forum and selling is just tolerated. Is there a FAQ or sticky that I'm staring at but not seeing somewhere that would outline the rules of this forum? Should the title be changed to :

"Bay Area Reefers Classified Ads (please do not talk about reefing)".

The forums here are in no way moderated by anyone in BAR or on the BAR staff, the only times when something might be dealt with is if someone (anyone really) points out something to a moderator.

The club forums sometimes get special attention or rule bending when it comes to selling, so your scrubbing may or may not have been a mistake since this really isn't a for sale forum. If you have questions, pm a mod.

EDIT: Nevermind, It's because I upset the guy selling. And he has a good point that I could have Pm'ed him first. I was trying to be helpful but I'll take the PM route next time.
