What causes more heat.

Simple question. What puts more heat into the water. 4X96w pc actinics = 384w total, or 1-250watt halide 10k.

I would think halides. All my tanks with halides got hotter than my tank with PC. Just my experience

same heat produced.
just halide is more compact and harder to cool

I think halide. Use a fan and you'll be good if you're worried about heat.

I have a shut off sequence when the tank gets too hot. I wanted to include the PC''s if it would make a difference.
