What Clam Is Right For My 20 Gallon?

what clam would you recommend for a 20 gallon tank that doesn't get to big?

also do you think 250 watts of 20k MH is too much for a 20 gallon that is 16" deep?

get a small crocea or maxima,they dont grow all that fast.

the mh is fine as long as you have it at least 8" above the tank. You might have some heat issues.

As far as clams are concerned, most don't grow so fast that it will outgrow your tank anytime soon. The Derasa's, Squamosa's, gigas grow faster than the Maxima's and Crocea's, but they are easier to keep. I personally like the Maxima's and Croceas. good luck.

I currently have a crocea in my 20g tall with 150 watts of mh(current usa sunpod) haven't had any temp issues as of yet however I do have it plumbed together with my 55g in a 30 gallon sump. well here are some pics http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=114
