what clam should i get? suggestions plz!

i am pretty new to reefing (6months), i had just upgraded my lighting for my 55 gallon tank to a 400w mh with a 20k bulb on there. very happy with my light since i want to keep various things in my tank so i can place coral that dont need that much light on the sides of my tanks and keep clams and hard coral in the middle of my tank. with that much lighting what clams would do the best in my tank?

Sounds like you got it covered () : )

I would say that any clam that you wanted would be fine...a maxima/crocea would want to be diectly under it somewhere not in a dimmer area...the others probably wouldn't mind not being directly under the light...a gigas would outgrow your tank though, unless you wan t to devote o whole tank to it ...other than that have fun and keep you Ca and Alk in check () : )

Don't get smaller ones such as 1-3", over 3" for best survival.
