What clams in a 125 gal?

I'm setrting up a standard reef ready 125 gal. It will have (3) 150w DE 14k halides. Will I be able to keep one or two nice clams with 150 watts? Will they be ok on the bottom or will I need to place them on the rocks?

18" depth right? You should be fine for just about any clam (just position them right under the light or near the surface for some more light demanding clams).

Oops. No the depth is 23" (72x18x23). Do you still feel I could keep clams on the bottom?

I have at least one of each variety. I love them. Why keep just one or two.

well maybe more. but will they be ok with only 150 watt DE (450 watts total)?

If you can, keep high light clams in the upper half of the tank (maximas- try to get crocea's as high as you can). Derasas and squamosa clams should be fine with the lower light, but still try to position them under the bulbs.
