Got some gulf live rock which had this on it. There is still some faint life on one of the heads (it's light green in color). Any idea on what this could be and if the remaining portion lives, will it fill up the other dead areas?

It looks like a lobophyllia wellsophyllia. The coral can recover from this and probably fill up the skeleton. It'd be nice to see how it turns out.

Manicina areolata (carib. rose coral as stated above) or maybe Mycetophyllia danaana or one of the brains in the family mussidae.

Defiantly not a lobo or a wellso if its from the Caribbean.

As stated, Lobos are from the other side of the planet.

Looks spot on to the Manicina areolata from the Caribbean as mentioned.

Do you have any updated pics on how it recovered? I love Manicina!

Don't totally give up on it. Some stonies can come back from apparent death. I had a maze brain rise from the dead after a whole year being used as structural rock.
