What corals can be kept with BTA's

I'm worried about allelopathy. This is a anemone specific tank but if there are some corals that won't cause issues it would be nice to add some color. No shrooms, correct? What about Xenia? How about some hard corals, like montipora? Acro is not doable in this tank....so that's out. I REALLY want the anemones happy, so if I can't mix, let me know. Thank you!

You can have any thing w/ your bta just be able to move it when the anemone gos for a stroll cause they will. I d stay away from xenia, or any coral that grows like a weed and will be hard to contol. Montipora are a good tank mate, as well as all zoos lps brains, plate corals etc. :bum:

Thanks for the reply, I guess I wasn't specific enough with my question.....or maybe you answered it. Due to the chemicals corals/anemones "put off" I know for a fact certain corals will irritate anemones.......as an example, I'm nearly certain I have read NO mushrooms with anemones.....it's like another anemone, so they compete chemically. This is what I'm trying to aviod. I bought this tank FOR my anemone clones, not corals, BUT if I can safely put something like a acan.....meaning the acan will not irritate the anemones, I would do that. If I remember correctly, most LPS and SPS compete via sweeper tentacles and not so much chemically, soft corals compete entirely by chemical means. Does this make sense. I'm trying make my anemones as happy as possible, if I can do that with some corals, that's great, if not, so be it. Thanks again.

If they are far enough a part and you maintain proper water conditions then all will be fine. Running carbon, skimmer, frequent water changes are a few things that will help in making certain that everyone is happy. Most important is allow your anemone enough room to open full w/o touching anything!

I have tons of xenia, shrooms, zoos, ricordea, leathers, anthelia, star polyps in with two btas and a lta with weekly pwc and I run chemi-pure. Allelopathy isn't really an issue in my tank.
