I just realized how much time, money and energy I would save if I had no reef, but it's like the worst drug possible, you just can't stop

I actually asked myself that question last night while getting frustrated trying to aquascape my new 90g.

I only ask myself that when my parameters are so off that my sps look like craps. A couple times I was going to quit but had a change of heart cause I didn't have anything better to do

i considered getting out the other night when my sump busted....

i spent a good amount of time today converting an old tank into a new sump instead.

I've heard many people(myself included) say reefing and fish are addicting. We must just see it as a hobby and past time. We shouldn't let it take over our lives. Saddly some spend more time with thier tanks, than thier kids. We should always put it in perspective and keep it as a past time.

As with any hobby, this one has it's plus and minuses ($$ primarily). . We all continue b/c the bottom line is.. we still enjoy it. Besides, there are worst things to be addicted to....I'd rather spend 15 minutes looking for my misplaced refractometer than a misplaced crack pipe.
