Watching one of my peppermint shrimps pull a snail of the rock and rip him to shreds.. Naturally he chooses the more expensive one..... Snail has been in the tank 10 minutes......Guess who is going in the sump....

Brought 15gls of water...10gls salt,5gls fresh..did a 20% water change, also purchased a coral beauty. ....decided FOWLR tank...tank a lil cloudy tho but its clearing up..add a lil aragaMilk.

30% WC, vacuum sand bed,vacuum sump, checked all coral mountings, scrubbed the glass, cleaned the overflow, cleaned the skimmer, cleaned the lights, redirected some power heads, killed some aiptasia, scored on the Petsmart salt deal.
Now having an adult beverage of choice, enjoying my beautiful tank!

Bought just about all of my testing kits, a thermometer for the QT and mixing station as well as a veggie clip. A few more trips with coupons and I think I may be set. Next trip will probably be the RO/DI unit.

Changed out my water filters, and the Di resin, back washed my ro filter.
Water is nice and clean again now

Went to the first annual (is this an oxymoron?) frag swap for my local reef club. Picked up a hammer and a zoa colony for $20 and supported another hobbyist in the process.

BTW, this place was hopping with about 6 hobbyists and 7 local reef shops showing up. It was so crowded inside the little venue they rented that I felt bad for bringing my kids along in the stroller. I think this bodes well for the future of this little reef club.

I found out my the RODI I've been buying from my LFS is the source of my nitrates problem.
