what do cow fish eat in reefs?

When I had one it loved to eat the sea weed I kept in my tank. But if it went a couple days without being fed it would pick on some of my corals.

Also be VERY careful with cowfish in a reef. They are very clumsy and get ther horns stuck between rocks. Thats how mine died. So if I was to get one again it would be in a FO tank with very little rock.

When they die or become extremely stressed they can release a toxin that has the potential to wipe out the entire tank.

They're not guaranteed to release the toxin upon death, but if it does all fish will die. Inverts are rarely bothered.

Another thing I like about cowfish is most of them will "kiss" your finger when you put it on the glass. Its realy cool.
