I've been trying my hand at breeding and raising clown fish. I was doing good since last January, till last week they got something. The clowns looked pail in color. Had white spots and their fins looked chewed up. From what I've read here, they got brookennela or clown fish disease. All this happened in my grow out system. Not in my display tank. So I have decided to drain the hole system and start over.
My question is, even after draining the whole system. I plan on letting it dry out for one or two weeks. Is there anything I can use to wipe the tanks down to make sure all the parasites are dead? What can I do with the equipment to make sure they are clean?
I used rubble rock in the sump. I think I'll just let the rocks sit in a bucket of water for nine weeks.
