Hello, I picked up a clown goby a few days ago at my lfs and they suggeted to feed it flakes. I don't see anything online about feeding clown goby flakes and it is not eating, should I start feeding it frozen mysis?

Thanks in advance!

How do you feed it? I've seen people use a syringe to feed thawed out mysis.

Nori sea weed. Cichlids balls broken up. Mysis krill and time. Flake. All things and more that my goby and blennies eat.

Sometimes likebwith my fat Sail fin and my fat starry blenny , they took a while to actually start eating. Which they will sustain them self on what aquafloura your tank already has to offer, first, typically. And they will always graze like this. But eventually they should liken themselves to foods you start feeding.

I'd try nori clip.

Unfortunately I wouldn't put too much faith in what a guy at a LFS says. He may mix things up, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the fish you purchased is eating it. Seeing this happen can be key sometimes. GL.

I've read that they take awhile to start eating in new tanks. I'm just getting worried, he hasn't ate anything in 4 days. If I feed thawed mysis how should I give it to him? Should I use a syringe or dump it on top? He is always hiding.

Thanks, this is good advice for my next fish.

I used a pipette to suck up some food and then shoot it into the tank. I kept mine in a 3 gallon tank for 6-12 months till the goby went into a friends 30 gallon.

I just bought some frozen mysis and fed him with a small syringe, he came out of his hiding place quickly and started eating.

Thanks
