What do nipped corals look like?

Probably a dumb question, but can anyone describe what a nipped coral looks like? I have a coral beauty in my tank and recently my zoas seem closed up, and my toadstool isn't extending. Everything else is doing great.

I have seen my coral beauty nipping at the live rock a lot lately? Did my reef safe dwarf get a taste for the good stuff lately?

With Sps it looks like someone took a nail clipper to the tips of the coral.

Usually when I have an angel picking the zoas aren't closed up, they just dissappear.

If zoas are all closed and toadstool isn't polyping, you might want to check your parameters to see if something is off in your water chemistry.

Sorry for the late response, I just saw your reply.

Yeah, my water is perfect, my sps are colorful and growing fine. My lps are puffy and super colorful. All tested values are great.

I do run bulkreefsupply GFO and ROX .08 carbon. Do you think those might play an effect?
