Just to throw out my guess..

Have you verified that your testing is correct? You said your frags came from a similar system. Any chance that you would be able to go visit that system and bring all your test kits? See if there is some major difference somewhere. Is your refractometer correct? Is your Temp correct? Is your test kit showing 8.5 - 9 Alk but it's really 10 -11? etc.
I would just do some checks to see if you have a bad reading somewhere.

Hope you can get this figured out. Sounds frustrating for sure.

Although the frags came from a few different tanks over several months, that's a great idea. I'll try it.

Looks like kh swings may be the problem. Adjusting the ca reactor.
