I'm running into a problem I haven't had before. After about 2 years of this, I finally have the hang of it (I think) and my corals are growing pretty well. This has presented me with a problem that I've not had before: what to do with over-population of mushrooms/zoas/other fast growing corals.
Whereas my Blastos, Favia and Acans have been considerate enough to grow at a reasonable pace, Ricodeas and other mushrooms have not been so kind. I havne't thrown any away cause I feel like that's unethical, but I also don't know what to do with them so they don't overrun my tank. The ricordeas especially seem to be stingers (currently, they are confined to one rock on the side of my tank by my Maxi nem on the other side of said rock).
Are there stores in the valley that will take them as donations? I realize they are just mushrooms and thus not really worth anything, so I have no expectation of any compensation.
