What do you all think?

I am currently going back and forth on my next reef fish purchase. I am going back and forth between getting a small school of Anthias or another wrasse that will hopefully get along with my Sixline. I have a 90G with a Powder Brown Tang and the Sixline Wrasse.

Will a Carpenter's Flasher Wrasse or an Exquisite Fairy Wrasse get along with the Sixline?

If I were to get some Ignitus Anthias about how many could I put in the 90 with some comfort? I was thinking around 3 or so.

Thanks for any incite or heads up on some other cool fish to consider adding.

I would go with a wrasse over anthias since you already have a PBT, just make sure you have some lids of some sort for any flasher wrasse you may get. They are some jumpers!

Sixline wrasses are notoriously aggressive towards other wrasses and many other fish for that matter. So IMO I would not get a flasher or fairy wrasse.

I would think that anthias would be fine. With social fish like anthias the bigger the group the happier they are. 5 would be the smallest group I personally would do, and in a 90 thats plenty of room.

I have heard that Sixlines can be aggressive but could I possible cut down on the aggressiveness if I add two or more fish at one time? I personally would love to add another wrasse to the tank. It may be a risk I have to take.

Some Sixlines are just mean, they don't care how many fish are in the tank or how many of the fish came in the tank on the same day.

For success with the Anthias you need to feed them frequently. I would recommend picking up a good auto feeder before purchasing the Anthias.

I hear ya, I haven't had any problems with my sixline and powder brown yet. Hopefully when the time comes to add another fish their wont be a problem.

lol that does sound like it could work. I haven't witnessed any aggression with the sixline but it has been some time since I have added another fish to the tank.
