see thats based on gallons again. if my 220g had a 55g sump it wouldnt be considered large in your eyes. but i have a 125g sump, now it turns into a large tank?

If your system had more than 300 gallons I would consider it large. You could have a 100g tank with a 400g sump.
In my eyes, its not about the glass, its about the water.
if the title said large systems, i would agree, but it said large tanks. i took that as the main tank display. and even a 100g with a 400g sump i wouldnt consider large,,,id consider the sump large, but not the 100g tank..

Is that the intent of this thread? If so, I will reserve my opinion. The sump is part of the system why look at that element independently?
+1 ... My LFS runs about ninety 30g tanks off a few hundred gallon sump in the basement ... he does not have a 'large' tank...he has a large system.
I did mean tank, btw...
