What do you feed a new 10" personifer ?

I got this beauty from a friend that won it @ reef palooza
I had a 12" maculusus that eats clams before velvet take him from me.
Some other angels that I had eats everything and anything.

This monster picks of some of the mysis inside the large clam shell few minutes after introducing him to the tank.its was on display @ RAP for 3 days from the wholesaler and spend almost more than 14 hours on my friend sump
now its on tank that is basically a fowlr and not much sponge to nibble on nor algae.

The question what is the best food for this guy?
Can I keep on feeding clams then train it to eat angelfish pellets later
I have the worst large angel record here so every good suggestion helps

Congrats. I was wondering who may have won that. Once that fish adjusts it will eat everything and you cannot feed it enough. I would feed it live worms and pretty much whatever it wants to get it dial in. Good luck, I am sure it will do well for you.

Hang nori out on a clip. Try clams, shrimp, scallops, mysis to start. Once you find a food he eats keep feeding him that food and then gradually introduce other foods.

Hikari makes a large angel food that contains sponges and other stuff thats pretty good. After getting him to eat the basics maybe try getting him to eat the large angel food.

If you can get it on pellets that would be awesome and you can supplement their sponge diet with ON angel formula. If its get a variety if foods from pellets to frozen soaked in vitamins you should have one very healthy angel.

Congratulations on the new acquisition.

I would go with frozen PE mysis shrimp, Frozen Spirulina Brine Shrimp and a garlic enhanced flake to start.

I found pellets to be difficult to get a finicky angel that is starting out to eat.

It is the nicest one i have seen in person too that's why I told who ever won it, I am willing to trade or buy it.Now i am praying to the reef gods that bless me one time to keep it alive and thrive as I have the worst record with large angel.

The Xmas emperor angel fish was the best one I have seen in person too
Someone won it but give it to someone else

Quality Marine give some of most beautiful fish for the show.

I think that's a C. meridithi. It's lacking the black band on its tail.
A stunning specimen non the less.

Yup it's a Meredith
I seen a some true personifer but the colors are not as bright as him except it has a black lines on the tail.

I might get him a female next week if he does well.

My meredithi's LOVE algae... definitely try some of the commercial brands, as well as your standard nori... keep some in the tank at all times.
