What do you guys feed your clowns?

Mine seem to hate the thawed frozen mysis shrimp I give them. They eat it then spit it back out. They love brine shrimp, but I read that they're like candy - not very nutritious.

I also feed them other dry fish food, but what's the best?

Do they eat blood worms? Is it good for them?

Anything else?

Besides Rod's, I feed LifeLine Herbivore mix, Prime Reef, mysis shrimp, sometimes so little krill pieces ( from when I feed the anemones ), Spectrum pellets, and angel formula ( I have......angels too )

what's rods food? where can you get it? I'm having the same problem

An LFS owner in the FAR 'burbs of Chicago makes it. Great stuff. I believe you can order it from Premium Aquatics.

Rod's sounds yummy. No local sales here though. :(

I've just been feeding frozen cyclopeze and frozen mysis. They also get little chunks of shrimp and scallops being fed to RBTA's.

Rods is a great food but you have to be VERY careful how much you feed. If you overfeed so many tiny particles that dont get eaten your water quality will go downhill fast.

PE mysis is great but can be on the big side. For smaller fish i use san francisco bay brand. People like cyclopeez and it does work well but im really enjoying the nutrimar ova eggs - i mix them with mysis for food and throw in some formula 2 for veggies

I feed mine a mixture. Mostly PE Mysis, but I make sure to chop it up good before feeding because the pieces are pretty big (only my big clown can take down the pieces). Also feed Formula one spirulina formula (primarily to keep up my blenny's nutrition).

My clowns eat just about anything I put in the tank, and anytime I come close to the tank they start attacking the top of the tank like I'm going to feed them :)

I would have to disagree, I've got a couple buddies that toss in big chunks of rods food and have no issues with water quality.

I feed about a 50cent piece sized chunk every day if that helps.....
