What do you guys feed your different fish (and corals) and why?

Im going to have fish and corals. I'll have carnivore, herbivore, and omnivores. I'll have a lot of LPS and probably some SPS. I will have some clams, some mushrooms, some zoos. So I'm all over the board in food requirements. What are you doing?

Corals only need light. I feed mysis and nori. I occasionally throw in some reef roids. I have a mimic tang, a cleaner wrasse, a small goby, 2 tuxedo urchins and some snails and assorted hermits and 1 emerald crab. If I had to do it again, I would have less hermits, they are snail murderers.

Most corals will get most their energy from photosynthesis but occasional feedings will not hurt. For some LPS I feed LPS pellets from Fauna Marin and once in awhile I dose oyster feast and the polyp extension on my SPS goes crazy.

Fish will eat a variety of whatever you feed them from pellets, mysis, krill, algae, they love live black worms. Just feed them a little of everything. Some fish will have specific diets that need to be met so always research the fish you're buying.

I'll admit in some aspects I like to keep things simple, I plan to pony up the extra cash and just get Roggers food. I don't wanna buy a bunch of different fish food and load up my limited freezer space. His food is supposed to be right up there with rods and has a little bit of everything. He even offers a herbivore blend. You could check out the site and see the list of ingredients and see if it's worth it to you.

My duncan loves to eat. I give it some mysis and brine shrimp and on occassion Rod's maybe twice a week. Many LPS corals take direct feeding really well. Just don't over do it

Feeding the fish what they need feeds everything else. Be sure to monitor Nitrates and Phosphates - by products of feeding.

Feed the herbivores Nori (dried seaweed) and I feed the rest of the tank frozen (make my own), but pellets would be fine.

Flakes and pellets pack alot of nutritional punch. I only use frozen as a taste treat once a week or so as frozen brine shrimp/mysis have little nutritional value.
The frozen commercial assortments are way over-priced when almost all your fish can get everything they need from flake.

Larry reef frenzy - nano since I have smaller fish.
Mysis - I mix tiny amount of pellet food in my mysis
Reef Chili - now and then on my LPS corals
Nori - daily on a clip for my foxface, its fun to watch him rip at it
