What do you guys/gals think?

Hi Guys/Gals,

A couple of months ago when the nominations were taking place I mentioned the idea of possibly having a Tank of the Month but on our own website that could be voluntary and/or nominated and voted on by the members.

My idea is to take a couple of pictures of the winners tank and set up along with an interview portion where you describe what you have along with how you got started in the hobby and a little about yourself if you feel like it.

I'm not a pro at taking pics by any means but I guess we will work with what we have and make the best of it. Also if anyone is really good at taking pics and wants to volunteer their services it would be greatly appreciated.

I have also thought about doing a video series on our website that shows how to do certain things that members are interested in step by step. Things like how to set up a calcium reactor, making a sump, How to properly dose, etc. basically whatever you guys want it to be.

I think that besides the video series this really wont cost the club anything and it will be really nice to be able to log into a website and see your tank on display.

What do you think about this? I more than welcome any ideas, comments or suggestions. Afterall this is for the members and we can make it anyway that we want and have fun with it. This is a hobby afterall...

I like it. I think I said some like that about TOTM. But the video is a great ID. You got my vote.

I think its a great idea, but there are only so many tanks in our club. :lol:

I think I would probably do tank of the quarter and out of those 4 each year, pick a tank of the year and maybe have a small, simple plaque that would look great in any tank room.

This is an awesome idea Brandon. I love it when people take one of my ideas and make it alot better than what it originally was...

Yeah your right there probably isnt enough to keep it going for a good while but this solves that problem...
