What do you guys think I should do...

Just received my tank from Miracles. They were supposed to drill two 3/4" holes for the return line......they drilled two 1" holes instead.

Now my plumbing won't fit because they don't make a 1"-3/4" reduced for the modular pipe male thread connector.

Not only that but I want to use 3/4" bulkheads like I ordered, not 1".

I think you are within your rights to ask for a partial refund or exchange.

I'm so aggravated right now because of this. I called Miracles, didn't speak to Derek, but did speak to Nathan who I think actually builds the tanks. He wanted to glue reducers into two bulkheads and send them to me....he wanted to use white reducers and I told him that isn't going to work as I'm not looking at white plumbing parts against a black background.

He's now trying to figure something out and I'm waiting to hear back.

There are 1"-3/4" reducer fittings you could put inside 1" bulkheads. I'd say just call them and ask them to send you some 1" bulkheads due to their mistake.

Just so I know I am not reading it wrong - you are saying the actual hole is 1 and 3/4 inches sized for a 1 inch standard ABS bulkhead, not an actual 1 inch hole... correct?

Here is what I would do. I found this 3/4 threaded bulkhead. It is about 1/5th of the way down the page, has threads on the intake (flat) side and slip on the outlet, and fits in a 1 and 3/4" hole. Part number is BF3/4THD1
if you go look for it.

I realize you would be out another $12 or so dollars plus shipping, but life is too short to get upset over little things like this. Just order some bulkheads like the ones above and get on with the joy of setting up a new tank.

Hes right. I would do what is stated above and just ask Miracles for the $$ your out. I am sure they would refund you that little amount of money. I agree enjoy life. I dont blame you for being a little mad, but you can work through this.

That's not a bad idea. Do you think they make it with a threaded outlet. I need a threaded outlet for the lock line connector

The pic looks like the threads are on the flange side not the nut side, which is the inlet for a drain bulkhead, or the outlet for a return bulkhead. As long as the hole size is correct, looks like that bulkhead will work out for you.

Gotcha. I missed that. Ok, I'll order two of these tomorrow. I could care less about the $, i just want the plumbing to look right since I'm going to see it every time i look at the tank.....didn't want to have to look at white reducers against a completely black background because it would drive me nuts knowing that could have been avoided if they didn't mess up.
