4 month 90 gal tank 20 gal sump..

2 clownfish
1 BG chromis
1 Coral Beauty
1 Yellow tang

All doing great.. should I chill for now? I was debating on adding 2-3 more chromis after 4 wk QT

water specs? how long have the fish been in the tank? how long has the tank been running? is it FOWLR? mixed reef?

before all my fish died of ich......

In my 80 cube I had 2 adult clowns, flame angel, yellow eye kole, starry blenny, warpaint goby, citron clown goby, leopard wrasse, and a female mandarin.

I think you'll be fine with a few more fish.

How much live rock do you have. Your bio filtration will increase as you add bio load. You always add slowly so the bio filtration can increase with the new fish and not be overwhelmed.

What are you nitrate and phosphate levels?

Wit a 4 month old tank you might want to check nitrites after adding new fish.

+1

I've had the load mentioned in a 23g nanocube minus the tang and it was fine, however I added each fish individually and allowed the tank to acclimate to the increased bioload. Hence wondering the exacts of his setup.

Chromis won't affect the bioload much. They may eventually pick each other off, but perhaps 3-5 will tolerate each other.

Anything else you like?
Look into wrasses (Halichoeres, fairy, flasher), longnose/flame hawk, orchid dottyback, gobies, blennies

Yawn.... 5 fish like that in a 90G really ain't squat...

HAHAHAHA that got me.

Ive got a similar tank (smaller DT) and Im going for 12-14 fish, with snails and some shrimp, a mixed reef of soft, LPS and SPS corals and, if I feel like im up to it, a maxima clam.

I don't even have anything in it yet save for copepods and diatoms. Go for it man. Be GOD TO THAT TANK!

It also depends on what you want your tank to look like.

In my 120DT, I have a Tomini Tang, 2 lyretail Anthias, 1 African flameback angel (pygmy), 1 YWG, 1 blue neon goby, 1 Blue Star Leopard Wrasse (had 2, the female died), and a tailspot blenny for a total of 8 fish, along with a common urchin and a black brittle star. I don't really care for the look of a tank jammed full of fish, and it does leave the tank with plenty of room for coral growth while there is still plenty of room for swim space.

I would like a wrasse actually

Do NOT get a six line wrasse. Almost everyone gets one when starting out (they look cool), but they are nasty son o b's, mean.

+1, One of my favorite wrasse's is the Melanurus. They are super chill, get along with most anything, and are very active.
