Slave to the reef!
So my twacked out bro in law got busted for meth and is going back to prison, thats another story but looks like i get my basement back!! So, im gonna be tearing down the 75 and setting up the 200 gallon table top with the 250 gallon sump. I have been looking at the octopus skimmers and was thinking this one is bad a$$ but might be a little to spendy....

What do you guys think?

I think it might be....

I still have an 8' x 4' pond i made at my moms place, ill bring it over someday and put rays in it, but yeah the acrylic table top is going reef baby!!

Well i have a dual 400 ballast laying around so ill prolly just use that......was looking at some lumenarc reflectors. Not sure on bulbs yet though.

there are way tomany choices for bulbs now it's nice but takes so much longer and money to find what you like also I have heard great things about that skimmer

That is indeed the skimmer that I recently got. So far i haven't had any problems with it except for a leaking seal that was replaced before I ever started running it. To be honest, I can't give much of an opinion on the skimmer. It is built very well for the money. It skims well enough to keep the small system (200 gallons and 7 small fish) I have it running on. Since my system is in transition I haven't had a chance for it to run on a tank with a heavy load. I don't know how it will perform, but I expect it will do ok. I don't think that it draws the air that the more expensive skimmers do, but I don't think you will find a skimmer draw more air or have a larger body for anywhere near the money.
