What do you have for an ro/di?

Garden hose and a 20um carbon block filter from HD :D

These are fish, not sps corals.

I have a Kent RO but it can't possibly keep up.

A friend has agreed to sell me his Kold Sterile system in a few weeks when he breaks down his tank, that will do nicely.

Where are those pics.

I use a 5 stage RO unit 100gpd and plan to double this output to a 200GPD unit.

Steve

5 stage spectrapure that I have changed the membrane and added a piggyback so I'm up to 200GPD (in theory) I can pump out 5 gallons in about 40 minutes.
Keeps up with my 4 tanks and 175 gal breeding setup

I've had the spectrapure for a while, just added the piggyback RO a few months ago. the membrane was like 80 ish and the piggyback was about 100. I think I spent like 280 ish for the system initially. It is hooked into autotopoff switches for all the tanks, and a seperate line goes to a 55 gal. drum for making new water. I don't have to carry water anywhere... which was the worst part of the hobby.

I'm not concerned with gpd as I am waste ratio. I figure I can fillup my 2 14gal jugs. When I add it to a breeding system I'm gonna buy a 100gal polyethylene container.

If you piggyback another RO membrane it will help the ratio as the waste water of the first membrane feeds the second and you get more usable water out of that before leftover leaves that RO and heads for the drain.

yes,
the waste water that normally would go right to the drain of the first RO stage feeds the second RO stage, the "blue" outputs of both membranes are tied together and go to the DI cartridge. same water flow goes into the unit but with two RO's you are getting more usable water vs. waste water.
