mantis shrimp are prettu tough. From the sounds of it, it seems you should be able to keep it with what you have already.

Filtration and/or skimmer and perhaps a powerhead for flow. Also a heater is necessary to keep the water temperature at a contant level comfortable for you mantis (reefs stay around 80* - 84* F).

yes tank is cycled, I have an old filter im gonna use for water movent along with filteration, only thing I dont have is heater...damn

is the glass on a 15g tank gonna be able to take a direct shot from a peacock? they are tough little guys...

also, i would recomend one of those titanium unbreakable heaters...or else you may have a shocked shrimp...

possibly peacock, it maybe be something else...something smaller (i hope) I was thinking heater with heatergaurd?

If you get a hang on filter for the tank, ( I know they are tough but why put it to the test - I think that if you keep one then you should give it the best home possible, not just something to tolerate.) perhaps you can put the thermometer in there.. out of reach out of trouble I would think..

I have a filter from when My tank was Freshwater, also i will upgrade all the stuff as time goes on and money becomes avalible

Jonny, I think that the next purchases you should go after are a heater, agree with the titanium heathers (the brand name on these are "WON Titanium Heaters") and a powerhead to increase your flow. It is true that stomatopods are tough but on the same token so are alot of animals and that doesnt mean we should skimp out (your pretty adaptable to alot of nasty conditions, would you want someone to stick you in a substandard environment just because you could hack it for awhile?). Im not saying that you would stick your mantis in a terrible environment but its worth pointing out in my opinion. Hope that helps a little man.
