I am looking to get either a blueline 70HD or 100HD. does anyone have any info on either of these they would like to share? noise, heat, sound? Thanks

I have the older blueline. No heat, rock solid, silent. Everything I want from a return pump.

get the 100HD you wont be disapointed.

I ran a PanWorld 200 which is the same as the Blueline 70. It's a rock solid pump. Fan cooled so not a lot of heat added to the water but it is certainly not silent (noise = sound?). 100HD is a massive pump, and will set you back 290 watts; so unless you are planning a really huge tank, it may be overkill. As comparison, I run the PanWorld 150/Blueline 55 on my 265.

It's a 120 gallon DT. 100 gallon sump. 40 gallon fiuge with 15+ ft headloss to DT. this pump will also be used for water changes that will have to travel a LONG way. Do not necessarily need a lot of pressure for the water change as long as it will move the water out. For my everyday needs the 70hd sounds like it is more than enough and the 100hd sounds like it will go to waste on my setup

I run a few of the blueline pumps for my water change, breeding setup and really like them alot. They run in the basement so i never hear them but to me they are not to loud but you can hear them

I run a Iwaki 30 Jap pressure pump, more than enough for a 120. What I like about it I use it in the winter, cuts my heaters to half. Instead of a 300 and a 250, I just run the 300. So heat is good if you can control it.
