what do you think??

If you a run a search you can see a bunch of threads that were closed with this topic. The reason is that most of the LFS here are ORCA sponsors and many times it turns an argument about whose fav store is better.

If you have a fav store go support it because the economy is tuff right now.

The best fish store is the Ocean :) They have everything there! If you can't find what you need it could be hiding behind a rock 300 feet below you but if you're patient you can usually find what you're looking for.

:)

Thank you Italian pete for a real answer. We have a newbie asking a question and all you get is a bunch of smart alec answers. You people should be ashamed of yourself. If you look at his profile he is 10 years old and just getting into the hobby. What a way to treat a kid.

well said Italian hands down for both though John is giving better prices and more variety than SITC (sorry Marcey)

sorry man but alot of people would not look a people's profile. why don't you have him add it to the signature to people will know. this question is asked atleast 4 times a week and some people just want to have fun on the forums. i think it's cool to get him into early. my daughter also has a 20 long of her own. the issue the people have on here is that some peole will tell you a store to get brownie point. on the top of the forum is a list of local stores. just because someone does not pick out the bad one's but only picking a select few is just as bashing as far as i concerned. you can ask shane about me and i will do anything for local reefers and lfs. he was just over here the other weekend and i gave him several to goto. but not just the one's i likes but all the one's that were in the area where he was at.

by the way joseph nice seeing you here and think about putting your age into the signature portion so people will tread lightly with the comments

Hi Coralfrenzy,

It's good to see young people like yourself getting into the hobby. My son is almost 9 and he is very excited about me starting another tank. I was in the hobby a year or so ago and got our. I am about to get back in. Sea In The City (SITC) is a good one as others has recommended. If you are looking to stay on a budget try swapping frags with many of the members on ORCA. I also agree that we need to do what we can to support local stores, but in tough economic times a lot of us are forced to look for ways to maximize our money. Good luck!

The best thing to do is do a Sunday run and find which store works best for you. As easy as the question might seem, the post always ends up getting deleted or locked.

i can say that all of the lfs should be visited as they all have their own little niche as to what they are incredibly known for. however to be completely honest if something sounds 'fishy' its best to stay away . . .have had nothing but poor experiences and heard bad stories from it.
