What do you use for cooling tanks in summer?

Chalu

We dont have ACing, looking for options to cool a 50 gallon ish total volume in the peak summer months for days when the house is locked up.

I used to use a chiller, but once I switched from halides to LED/T5 the chiller never turned on, so I sold it.

One very hot days, aside from using fans, you can drop in a frozen water bottle into your sump and your tank should be fine.

fan is on the option list but we maybe away during the summer and home will be locked up. We lost an entire tank similarly when the west facing apt was locked up for two days. Fan would kick on but the heat had nowhere to go.

We dont have an airexchanger either, so I guess switching on bathroom or kitchen exhausts is an option - anyway these can be controlled via an Apex? (wall thermostat is ancient and doesnt have the wiring to hookup a newer Honeywell thermostat (I have one sitting around)

Any tips? :D

PS: also have a chiller sitting around, assuming it still works its large enough to cool a 600G system - but an option that will fail the WAF test when finding a suitable spot for it
