what do you use to raise and maintain magnesium levels?
someone said there is something u can put in the ca reactor instead of dosing mg all the time.

and i place this in the reactor? or just in the sump?

Nigari....natural food-based magnesium chloride and magnesium sulfate reconstituted from sea water. I buy it 40lbs at at time. I've heard of people using Mag Flakes (from Home Depot)snowmelt also but has no experience with it.

mag flakes mixed with epsonsalt to raise your mag,baked baking soda for alk and calcium chloride to raise calcium.Go to the reef chemistry forum and read randys articles.You can make your own additives for very low cost.I make my own additives and I don't need a calcium reactor.Why waste money on a reactor when this method is cheaper.

zeo magnesium chips work great in my reactor with ARM. Aragonite media only has 1100 ppm Mg so you need to supplement with something. FragFarmer carries the Mg chips.
