what do you want in a store?

Why are $25-$30 angels such a seemingly hard commodity to come by anymore?

I was referring to this.

Tell him to open a store in or near Canton. We need a GOOD saltwater/reef store down here!
I notice you live in Massillon also. Where do you go to get good quality livestock?

we really do need a quality store down here, there is nothing good, i dont care what people say about wet pets but there prices are so high and their livestock...well lets put it this way the petco down the road has better livestock

Tropical Aquarium ( Hectors ) is my store of choice any more. The store is clean and well kept. The tanks are clean. Yes is dry goods is small...but growing. His stock seems to be turning over well and they listen to customers. Jason is in charge of hunting down and ordering new items. With both of them essentially coming from RMS they are learning about different products that they may not have been exposed to. I hope that they stay busy and become a staple source of supply for this area

no, this was a store that did not end up even opening. a few unforseen deals in his other job and inconsistant backers prevented things from actually getting going. it would have been another store on the west side of cleveland.

i was getting my stuff from him for a while, but havent bought anything lately. i agree there needs to be a store down this way to specalize in salt water.

i would do it out of my basement but i dont have the time to do it with working full time during the day and then going to school at night

I agree about Wet Pets. I refuse to purchase fish that there is no, nada, zilch guarentee on. I used to purchase my frozen cyclopeeze there but after twice checking their freezer over a period of a couple months and finding frosted and frost burned bits of tiny pieces of cyclopeeze wrapped in saran wrap, I figured I was wasting my time even stopping by.
Petco does have some nice saltwater fish. Never bought from them yet, but they seem to take much better care of the livestock.

We still need something closer here though :)

i guess there is a nice place out in alliance but even then thats abotu a 30 minute drive from around here

it must be just other petco stores but the one here in canton i always see them cleaning the tanks and they usually dont but more then a few fish in each tank unless they are the damsels or clowns but hey where dont you find a tank that has damsels and clowns in one tank?

IO salt, if he can do better than 31.99 a pale that would be a plus

Where are you finding IO salt for that price at? is that for a 5gallon bucket? sorry not tryin to jack the thread!

Do you know what the place is called in Alliance? i never knew there was a saltwater store out there, anyone been there have any price info?

i think you are talking about pet connection on state street. i have no experience with their saltwater, but had bad experiences with their freshwater. hopefully they have turned things around and are better than a few years ago when i was in college out that way. if anyone has any up to date info on them i would like to hear it as i am always into looking at new stores.

i heard from a guy at petco that said their livestock prices are pretty good and the guy is selling turbo snails at like 1.99 a pop, he also said that they have some good coral selection and he said that they have had octopus and other exotic pets

im going off of what that guy said and pretty much thats all i can do, im also not positive if thats the place but it sound familiar
